5 things I love about CNY ❤

1- CNY OOTD

They say, “For good luck, all the clothing you wear on Chinese New Year should be new, to symbolize a fresh new start.” For me, it’s a really good time to wear all the RED & all the traditionally inspired chinese dresses. Well, we do not get to wear it all the time. (*^▽^*)

Here’s my #OOTD pick for this CNY.

#1 Red traditional Cut Cheongsum Dress

One of my favorite piece this CNY. What can be more Chinese than this full RED cheongsum inspired dress. Love the cut out design on the dress, added a hint of modernity to the classic design. ❤

#2 Printed Cap Sleeves Sheath Dress

ღゝ◡╹)ノ❤ I received heaps of compliments for the fits & color of this dress! The jacquard inspired design fits the CNY mood well. Love the beautiful scalloped hemline, & how the stretchy thick fabrics make it fits so well on me! This dress will show off your figures, without exposing your skin.

#3 Good Ol’ Red Skater Dress

Vivid red skater dress’ cuts is perfect for CNY, showing off your waistline, while hiding your tummy! Haha! I love ’em flare! Skater dress is lovely, it flatters your figures naturally; always my favorite design for dresses. ❤

#4 Floral Printed Playsuit

This floral print off-shoulder jumpsuit created a wear-everywhere silhouette. This piece fits perfectly when you going to your friend’s place to gamble (most of the time we’ll be sitting on the floor, a dress will be rather inconvenient)

#5 Red White Coordinated Outfit

Paired up the petite sized red cropped top with an edgy “V” cut in the front, with a versatile white flare skirt. Femininely sexy! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

2 – FAMILY REUNION @ YONGPENG

Every CNY, my family will be visiting my grandma at YongPeng, Johor.
& the visit always make this festive season worthwhile.

My grandma’s. This is the home that gathers all her 14 children, and all her grandchildren & great-granchildren every year. It is a really big house with a lot of rooms, a big patio, and a garden with a lot of beautiful blooms; My grandma loves pretty things like flowers. ❤o。.(✿ฺ。 ✿ฺ)

My grandma is really old, she’s 93 this year. She can barely hear what we say anymore, she doesn’t even talk much now, but she’s always smiling whenever she sees us. I guess it’s pure joy to see all her children and grandchildren gather together to celebrate the lunar new year with her.

Despite everything. She’s still beautiful.
She’s very beautiful but most important her heart and soul. ~♥”

My mom, & her sisters.

They are all indeed the WONDERMAMAs. My grandma now needed to be fed because she no longer had the strength to feed herself. It really touched me to see how they would convince my grandma to eat more like how they used to convince us when we were small; & how they spoon fed my grandma like how they spoon fed us when we were little.

One day, I will be pampering my parents like how they used to take care of me when I was a kid, to repay their loving kindness. Everyone should be filial to their parents. (ɔˆ ³(ˆ⌣ˆc)

My dad, & the uncles.

It’s great to just sit down quietly listening to them talking about the past and current, life stories. From how my granddad raised up 14 of ’em with only 30 cents earnings a day till he started owning rubber estates to the latest political issues. Interesting much.

My cousins. ( I have a lot of cousins, some of my nieces are as old as me.) But those that I am particular closer to are all younger than me; Hence, I am the big sisters who holds the responsibility to bring them out for good food! Heh!

We will have this cendol every year when we’re back in YP. (๑╹ڡ╹)

Alongside, there’s always wedding lunch held during CNY because it’s the best time when everyone of us will be gathered together. This time round, it’s my cousin sister who has always been my inspiration, Jane. She is smart (infact, very smart), & extremely humble.

Such a beautiful couple and may both of you be a blessing to each other!
May God look upon you kindly. ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

’em two, my greatest gift from parents. ♥

Parents & uncleauntie from Taiwan.

Last but not least, a happy family portrait!
I initiated it, & insisted it every year. Hehe.

Thank God, for another year of togetherness! (^^)-(^^)-(^^)-(^^)-(^^) ❤

3 – FRIENDS GATHERING

As we grow up, we get to know more people, & have met heaps of good people. But, we do not forget the old friends. It’s hard to catch up with everyone due to our busy schedule, but when it’s CNY, everyone would squeeze out time to attend the annual lousang dinner. Here’s some of those people who I treasure a lot.

The boys, they called this “哥兒們的撈生夜”, true enough us girls are the plus one to the boys. ʅ(‾◡◝)ʃ

I love how this bunch of people, especially those 2 that I am closest to, James and Darel, would be there for me whenever I need. I am like a sister to ’em, and I have to admit that they have been taking good care of me all these years.

They are definitely the best “best “放火專家” and “滅火專家”. At the same time, really good friends to both Jordan & I, who helped us so much along the way. (๑′ᴗ‵๑)

Dinner at Harmony Banquet, rm80/person.
Dishes were just ordinary, but the company won it all.

Second lousang dinner with my cell group, #D9CG.
My brothers and sisters in Christ. ヽ( ^^)人(^^ )ノ

We are from them same church, but we do not usually get to hang out and chill like how we do now. We are always rushing, because everyone has crazily hectic schedule. Like, the #annoyingbff adelechow said, everyone in this cg is too busy impacting the market place, shining in God’s name! ୧( “̮ )୨✧

(>’o’)> ♥ <(‘o'<)

But I am really thankful for these sincere and humble bunch who is always so loving and keeping each and every one of us in our prayers. Let us pray for a year full of new opportunities and abundance of good people among us a life with God in our midst! ❤

Special thanks to our rockstar, CG leaders, LEONARD for this “customized” CG, and for the effort in working so hard to manage all our expectations, in sowing into our life, and loving each and everyone of us. Impacting us with very relevant words of God and make us realize each and everyone of us deserve God’s love, deserve to love God!

Oh we booked the whole room in Phoenix Banquet that night, including dinner and karaoke, it was about rm140/person.

My ex-colleagues.
From only colleagues, we became #morethancollegues, & now we are really good friends.

They are the bunch of people who I can yell at ’em “I HATE YOU” right at their face when they pissed me off! Oh yes, #lovehate relationship with ’em! ~ヾ(^∇^)

It’s so hard for us to gather together nowadays because we now all work in different company. Hence, we really appreciate gathering like this. So much laughter with all the silly jokes and random talks. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable with you guys! ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ

Oh, & it was our shortestsmallestgirl, MK’s birthday.
We surprised her, we obviously succeeded. So glad that she’s happy! (❁´▽`❁)*✲゚*

A very good night catching up with these people.

PANTAI SEAFOOD RESTAURANT. Scotland clam // Potato leaf // Deep fried squid with salted egg // Steamed red telapia // Buttered tiger prawns // Steamed salted chicken // + lousang + tea (9 pax) = RM593.40

It was slightly pricey as the Scotland clam itself it’s already RM201.
But overall a satisfying meal! (っ˘ڡ˘ς)

4 -HOME COOKED FOOD

All thanks to my mummy! She is such a good cook!

Every year when we were beautifully dressed up to celebrate this awesome festival! My mom, and the aunties will be dressed in t shirt and shorts, got all busy from morning to night, just to prepare such great dinner for the big big family. So much effort, I am so grateful of these wondermamas. It is when I grow up, I really learn to appreciate these sacrificial effort!

Mom’s cook is so good that dad’s friend would insist an open house with all my mom’s cook every year.

Here it is, everything prepared by my supermom! She’s beyond awesome! I love all of these! Every dishes is so damn good, it’s orgasmic! My mom’s cooking has always given me comfort. Well, I didn’t get her cooking gene, but I secretly wish that one day I can be half as good as my mom. (๑´ڤ`๑)

5 – CNY GOODIES

It’s packed with sugar & fats, it’s extremely sinful!
BakKwa & Pineapple tarts are my favorite! I can never stop snaking on it!

This year round, my uncle from Sabah made FriedBun as our CNY snacks! I have always love red bean fried buns & sugared donuts, & these are just really to die for! Onnomnomnom! ( ՞ ڡ ՞ )っ─∈

& here’s a video compiled by my lil sister shoot at my grandma’s.❤

That’s all for now!

Wishing all of you a prosperous and fruitful Lunar New Year!
Mehhhhhhh the HUAT be with you in this Kambing year!

Cheers! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
