September 30th, 2010 by tziaaa

& finally, we had our manicure date at Sunway Pyramid yesterday.
dropped by shilin for some snacks since we are early as appointment time is 3pm.

i know my nails need to breath, but, in life we needs some colors, yes? heh!

10

wanted to double tone.
but end up choosing only the wine red.

never tried this color before cause i always thought this is so not my color. but since adele is doing smtg real princessie which is so not her type, i thought i might as well try out something diff from my usual baby pink, white french manicure.

7 deadly sins

September 24th, 2010 by tziaaa

I have been questioning myself all the time, why are you so unhealthy even though I have been treating you so well? I really thought I have been treating you very well.

I used to blow dry you every time to make sure you wouldn’t look damp and flat. But, people told me that over drying ones hair causes the strands to dry-out and then break.
5

From then, I don’t blow dry you anymore. I towel dry you instead. I admit I have been very rough way when I towel dry you, because it saves lots of time.

& then, I get to know that towel drying ones hair can cause damage, more so when done in a rough, vigorous manner. It causes friction, breakage and frizzy hair. Ahhhh.
img_05261

And so, I started to have a habit to comb you a few times before I towel dry you, because the drying process will be so much easier and less messy. I thought you wouldn’t like getting all tangled up, I thought, I must be a genius!

But, I later on got to know that excessive brushing or combing ones hair right out of the shower can seriously damage your hair. Hair is most vulnerable to breaks and tears when wet. Oh, FML.
img_0482

I am really sorry, I didn’t know I have put you in so much pain.
but, still, i get really frustrated when you looks so frizzy.

I thought it would be better for me and you if I got you all tied up.

Cause you wouldn’t need to say good bye to your friends due to the excessive breakage, and I will look good with you being so. Then again, they told tight braids or pony tails can damage hair, sometimes irreversibly. Buns, in particular, put strands of hair through considerable contortions and are not recommended for fragile or brittle hair. In addition to creating split, frayed ends and irregular broken areas, it pulls painfully on the scalp, causing redness and sensitivity.

I feel bad, but it’s still okay, because I did not make you a bun.
sadly, the spilt end getting more and more serious.
img_0493

& so, I thought I shall give you your freedom by not tying you all up anymore.

I dyed my hair one tone darker, straightened it every single time before I go out, just because I am desperate to achieve a healthier looking hair. :(
img_0444

But, without me realize I have make things worse. Hair dyes causes huge damage to you, you become rougher, frizzier and more fragile than before. Straightening you too had actually burn you making you drier than ever.

img_0499

I am really sorry, but, I don’t know what can I do anymore.

It saddened me when the canteen’s auntie said:”eh, lenglui, I think you should go for a hair cut, tsk tsk tsk, look at the ugly split end.

I was totally speechless. T_T

I still remember how silky smooth you used to be, sigh. FML.
If only, I know these deadly sins earlier, I would treat you better.

Cheers.
no cheers today, I am very much depressed. Please tell me I am not the only one commiting these deadly sins. Aren’t these “sins” what we girls usually do to our hair every single day? :(

prevention is better than cure

September 22nd, 2010 by tziaaa

Ladies, I believe, unplanned pregnancy, is probably the thing you wish it would never happen.
teen_pregnancy

How?

The Yes, I Can campaign, is here to help.

The Yes, I Can campaign is an initiative that seeks to tackle the issue of unplanned pregnancies and abandoned babies by empowering women to make informed and inspired choices about their sexual health and contraceptive options. The campaign aims to educate young women about unplanned pregnancies and contraception, as well as encourage open discussion between them and their healthcare professionals on the benefits and choice of effective contraception.

Babies are just too adorable to be abandoned! Use Oral Contraceptive to prevent unplanned pregnancy.
cutebaby

Oral Contraceptive is one of the many birth control options available today. The Pill is a reversible, highly effective prescription method of birth control. It is a monthly series of pills that is taken orally.

There are mainly two types of oral contraceptive pills (OCPs): Combination pill – contains two female hormones (oestrogen and progestin). And Progestin-only pill (POP) – contains only progestin. Progestin also promote production of thick, opaque mucus, which acts as a barrier to sperm, as sperm can only pass through clear, thin mucus.

Apart from pregnancy prevention, the latest 24/4 regimen oral contraceptive pill offer women a wide range of additional health benefits such as treatment of moderate acne, treatment of symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) – which is a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and regulating menstrual cycles. Many women differ in their response to oral contraceptives depending upon their menses type (light flow, moderate flow, heavy flow), their body type (underweight, normal weight, overweight) and their ovarian hormone sensitivity (oestrogen-sensitive, androgen-sensitive, progesterone-sensitive).

The new 24/4 regimen oral contraceptive pill is a low dose, combined oral contraceptive pill. It combines two types of hormones, an estrogen and a progestogen. The progestogen, which is called Drospirenone (DRSP®), offers benefits because it has a positive influence on skin and fluid retention. Yes, it helps to treats acne! Also, It is the first & only pill that indicated for PMDD (a more severe form of PMS).

About 100 million women worldwide use combination oral contraceptives (COCs). If it’s used properly, COCs have 99% success rate and is one of the most effective reversible forms of birth control available to women today. Nine out of every 10 contraceptive users in the world rely on modern methods.

Yes, I Can Car Sticker.

Deborah Henry, Miss Malaysia World 2007, has been appointed as the Yes, I Can ambassador alongside popular TV personality Julie Woon and online personality Nicole Tan. With Deborah, Julie and Nicole working together, these three influential figures will advocate the importance of empowering women to make choices regarding their sexual and reproductive health as well as the effective use of contraception.

Julie Woon said that “Young people get most of their information on sex related topics – such as protection and prevention methods – from their friends, who are not the most reliable and accurate source when it comes to such matters. Yes, I Can is crucial as it will provide accurate information that can be shared with peers and will empower them to make informed choices about their sexual health and contraceptive options.” I have to agree with that, because I have even heard people saying eating watermelon can prevent you from getting pregnant. Lol.

Last but least, in order to promote the correct protection and prevention methods, The Yes, I Can campus campaign road show will bring the campaign to young women through campus visits to universities and colleges in the Klang Valley. Each campus visit will feature games for students, talks on sexual health and contraception by healthcare professionals, pledge board to collect signature from students, and sharing sessions by Deborah Henry on unplanned pregnancies.

bloody period

July 30th, 2010 by tziaaa

Beware. This is a total girly post.

Periods.

One of thing that I fear most.

picture-00699

Can I not have periods? But come think of it all over again, if it doesn’t come.. it simply means I am pregnant, okay, or maybe menopause. I didn’t want to get pregnant now; neither have I wished to be menopause. Ugh.

I had always defined Periods as the most devastating moments of the month. Pain had never paid me mercy, leaving me in such terrible misery. I was told that when one is overweight, the pain will be worst. But now that I had lost much weight, the pain doesn’t seem to go away. I would say I couldn’t live without the 500mg Ponstan during that period of time. I know right, pain killer is never a good solution. But, I am yet to find the best solution. So yea, I now depend on the pain killer so much that I would black out if I stubbornly try to withstand the unbearable pain.

If you think that’s icky, nah, that’s not the worst, yet.

I don’t know about the others, but for me the bleeding that comes with periods can be quite heavy, causing my pad to be constantly damp ( I hate that soaky feeling, ugh! ) . & I used to experience intense shame and embarrassment when there’s period stains on my pants or skirt. Also, when menstrual blood mixed with the discharged, it produces an awful fishy odour. *ohmaigosh, blush 99* yeay weih, don’t tell me you people had never experienced this.

There’s once, when I need to attend an event which its dress code is WHITE, I am actually having periods. I use the maxi length pad already, but the pad still got damp after a short while. I pray so hard, hoping that it wouldn’t leak because I am wearing a beautiful white dress. But mehhhhhh…. It leaked, and there goes a stain on my white white dress. I was sitting on my bed that time, so yea, my pink bed sheet too got stained. FML max. There goes my dainty white dress, so I have to change to another white dress that I didn’t like that much. My mood was spoiled; i am not looking forward for the event anymore.

picture-00755

Things like this happened not just once, it had happened many many times. There’s also times when I got out without knowing my dress/pants/skirts was stained. Realized only when my friend told me about it. Paiseh max, I tell you. Imagine if you are going on your first date with your dream guy, he spotted the stained and tell you about it. **close face

picture-00677

Good thing is I no longer experience these shame and embarrassment when mom suggested me to use Whisper. Whisper really does amazed me as it gives me a fresh & dry feeling throughout my periods, probably because Whisper has a fresh absorbent core that that absorbs more in the middle, and gives more protection on the sides to prevent leakage and wetness which keeps me feeling fresh all day long even when I experience a sudden gush when I stand up.

dsc02042

Whisper made me feel so fresh to an extent that, I don’t even feel like I am having period. (exclude the pain). Whisper had successful eliminated the two main obstacles that stop me from feeling fresh and dry all day long. Firstly, it is because so far after I use Whisper I had not get my pants/skirts stained, yet (crossed finger). Also, with it really good absorbent it had successfully eliminate the fishy odour. At least, others wouldn’t smell it already as long as I have my pants on. Secondly, is that this ultra blood sucker has an Ultra thin series which is so thin; I don’t even feel that I am wearing a pad. No pad equals to no period, make sense?

picture-00688

Nop, I am not exaggerating. It is really that good. I didn’t know choosing a right pad can made your period days so much easier. “You will never know until you try it”, that’s what my mom told me.

Also, the other tips to keep your vagina feeling fresh and odour-free is to not wash with soup as it is not the appropriate way because it contains alkaline in nature & it will affect the pH balance down south which will make things worse. The smell will be even worse! You shall use either clean water, or, intimate hygiene wash. I am using the one from Elkern with floral fragrance, smells real good.

Let’s stay fresh and free together from now onwards!
Have a happy period!

ugly make up

July 25th, 2010 by tziaaa

it was LG Cookie Monster Party yesterday.

adelechow
and I actually took the effort to dress up for it; we got our monsterish costume, and went to i nuovi, sunway for monster make up. also, for the very first time, we think our naked face is so much better than with those make up on. Lol.

us, still with our naked face.

img_2332

in process…

img_2334

one hour later, done doing our make up.

My colored face was far scarier than what i expected. I know, I supposed to look scary. but err, really very scary ugly lo! I really look like some monster, and Adele look as if she just got into a serious fight! haha. Baby look so forced when he was asked to kiss me. FHL, and FML too.

anyhoo, baby was such a sweetheart!

we spent an hour making up, and baby was there waiting for us for the 1 whole hour. awww! also, fetching us fetching us here and there, back and flow that day.

so, yea, do you all still want to see the scary ugly face of mine? *eyerolling

img_2354

… to be continue. gotta rush my assignments now. T.T

cheers.
