I wanted a change.
For the past few years, I have been blindly setting resolution, & then, use the entire year to check off the list. Well, I guess I wasn’t doing too bad, but I did not really absorb the pleasure from any of them. Yes, something just doesn’t feel right.
Time is fleeting, & I started questioning myself..
“What do I want from life, anyway?”
“What is the end goal to all these?”
My heart whispered, I want to be, HAPPY.
No, I wasn’t depressed. Though at most time, I am seen as the emotional soul among my friends. I admit, I feel a little too easy, a little too much. Most of the time, upset, discontent & dissatisfied. But, I also never forgot how fortunate I am to be blessed with almost everything I could possibly want. Hence, I have been practicing to count my blessing at the end of the day, and go to the bed with a smile.
It got me started thinking, what should I do to discipline myself to be grateful even over the smallest thing. I was reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, and got inspired to start my very own #HAPPINESS101. This year, I want to do things that are important to me, that will make myself feel happier!
Well, let’s get started now!
“First of all, figure out HOW, exactly to make yourself happier.”
Be specific, be realistic. Your goal should be able to change you without changing or rejecting your life. This project aims to improve your life, make you appreciate more and be as happy as you should be.
Here’s the top-lines of my #2017 HAPPINESS BOOSTING RESOLUTION.
In a year time, I want to be better & feel happier at this 12 aspect of my life:
JAN – DECIDE TO, LOVE
FEB – MAKE TIME FOR FRIENDSHIP
MARCH – INVEST IN FAMILY RELATIONSHIP
APRIL – EAT, HEALTHY
MAY – PERSISTENT IN GETTING FIT
JUNE – DATE WITH GOD
JULY – DREAM HARD, & WORK IT
AUGUST – READ, & FUEL
SEPTEMBER – BE ADVENTUROUS
OCTOBER- THINK OTHERS, INSPIRE LOVE
NOVEMBER – PAMPER MYSELF, SPEND OUT
DECEMBER – CHANGE
“I want to change myself, but accept myself.”
I believe that I will revel more of myself, step by step through #HAPPINESS101.
I will be blogging about my progress on every month end, and I encourage you to join me in this project and make yourself happier this #2017, while setting a higher standard for yourself.
“There is no duty so much underrated as the duty of being happy.”
**I am excited, very.
