Go Natural With St. Ives

St. Ives scrubs came just in time when I thought my skin is a little dull & flaky after being exposed to the sun almost the entire day during my Genting King of Mountain Viper Challenge! Time to restore the glow & remove the dead skin cells on my face!

It isn’t very easy for me to find a suitable scrub for my sensitive skin. A good scrub helps to maintain youthful skin by removing old, dead skin cells and enable the renewal of new healthy skin cells; however, a bad scrub is going to irritate your skin so bad.

My skin often reacts towards chemical, hence this paraben-free product caught my attention! I then decided to give St. Ives a try as it uses 100% natural exfoliants in all of their products and also how they take pride in using natural ingredients inspired by the nature. They are also very eco-friendly by using renewable and recycled materials with their packaging. Oh and no animal testing too. What’s not to love?

First of all, who needs to exfoliate?
– those who have post acne marks
– those who have clogged pores
– those who have blemished skin
– those who have dry skin
– those who want a smoother skin (everyone, I guess).

Now, let’s see how St. Ives comes to rescue. Haha.

#1 St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrubs
This is for EVERYONE, who wants exfoliates to reveal smooth, radiant skin!

It removes the excess (most of the time, unseen) dirt & oil on our face, & let skin’s natural radiance shine through! To be honest, I think it’s a little rough for my liking, but undeniably it works just right to cleanse your face (without ripping of the moisture of your skin). Even better, the Glycerin in it helps to further replenish the moisture, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth.

This can be used as an everyday scrub. But, I am only using it 3-4 times a week now. It’s already my second week, & I actually begin to see my skin brighten up a little.

Well, most importantly, my skin feels more refreshed & revitalized now.

#2 St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrubs
They say, “Prevention is better than cure”. St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrubs wipe off the need to constantly worry about how to prevent & clear off the breakout on my face.

“Along with the all-natural ingredients, St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub contains 2 percent salicylic acid—a powerful ingredient that works deep in your pores to help stop blemishes and blackheads from forming. This scrub is also oil-free so it won’t clog pores, and dermatologist tested to be non-irritating.”

This scrub gently cleans pores and, helps stop breakouts before they occur. Now, it’s not hard to brain why it is the America’s #1 Scrub.

I have been using twice a week for 2 weeks now, & so far there’s not sights of breakouts (yet). Yes, I shall not jinx it, keeping my finger crossed, haha!

#3 St. Ives Blackheads Clearing Green Tea Scrubs

Blackheads are somewhat unavoidable, especially during these hazy days.

Studies showed that catechins in green tea, helps to regulate hormonal imbalances in the body, one of the key causes of acne. Drink green tea can make your skin produce less sebum; applying it directly on the skin helps to flush out toxins, heals blemishes and scars, and reduces inflammation!

This is all that we need, isn’t it?

Now all this goodness comes in a convenient squeeze bottle!

Not only it’s easy to use, it smells really good too!
The scrub grains are smaller and lighter, the best among 3 (IMO).

Exfoliation is essential to anyone’s skin care regimen, yet often the most hyped over-the-counter scrubs are costly and anything but chemical-free. I believe that you don’t need fancy or pricy products for smoother, prettier skin. Give St. Ives facial scrub a try, the 100% natural formulas you need in just one bottle.
